Derek Jacobs provides support to the Raleigh-Durham office by collecting and interpreting data used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of commercial real estate. This includes continuously developing industry-leading research that delivers deep market analysis and insights that drive value in real estate decisions and supports successful client strategies. He contributes to Raleigh-Durham’s quarterly market research reports as well as additional local reports.

Derek joined the innovation and insight team in October 2022. Both an American and a Canadian, Derek grew up in Colorado and attended Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2019. He also earned a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Arizona.
